Reptiles & Frogs of Southeast Queensland, an A5 format book was first published in November 2025. 656 pages containing keys, information on identification, behaviour, habitat and range within the region, breeding for frogs and conservation status.
The latest publication is a revised edition of 668 pages including extra photographs and the addition of four species, Colleeneremia rubella, Rheobatrachus silus, Taudactylus diurnus & Antaresia childreni. Printed in March 2026 this is the latest and definitive representation of all the frog and reptile species found within southeast Queensland and surrounding districts represented, as at the date of printing.
The southeast Queensland region traditionally encompassed the local council regions from the border north to the Sunshine Coast and west to Toowoomba however this guide extends that range significantly to include Rockhampton in the north and St George and Roma to the west. This extension allows for the inclusion of many species of snakes, lizards and frogs that have not been or are rarely recorded within the traditional southeast Queensland area.
Over 700 colour photographs of the snakes, including sea snakes, turtles, both freshwater and marine, saltwater crocodile, lizards and frog species likely to be encountered within the defined area.
