Description

TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK – REVISED EDITION CURRENTLY PRINTING AND DUE MID FEBRUARY 2026.

The latest and definitive work in A5 format was first published in November 2025. 656 pages containing keys, information on identification, behaviour, habitat and range within the region, breeding for frogs and conservation status.

Over 700 colour photographs of the snakes, including sea snakes, turtles, both freshwater and marine, saltwater crocodile, lizards and frog species likely to be encountered within the defined area.

The southeast Queensland region traditionally encompassed the local council regions from the border north to the Sunshine Coast and west to Toowoomba however this guide extends that range significantly to include Rockhampton in the north and St George and Roma to the west. This extension allows for the inclusion of many species of snakes, lizards and frogs that have not been or are rarely recorded within the traditional southeast Queensland area.
